Girl Guides and Fen Fatales visit Holbeach Meadows

Girl Guides and Fen Fatales visit Holbeach Meadows

Residents from Holbeach Meadows enjoyed a visit from the Girl Guides last week. The sun was shining as the girls held their meeting in our beautiful gardens, they enjoyed playing garden games, chatting with the residents, and helping with watering the plants.

The residents really enjoyed being outside with them and the energy they bought to the home. They particularly liked watching the Guides sing their group songs at the end of the meeting. Group Leader Rachel said, ‘The Guides really enjoyed themselves and had a lovely time’. We hope to see them back again soon.

Holbeach Meadows was filled with singing, smiles and colour when the Fen Fatales visited. Members of the Red Hat Society, the fabulous group of ladies, all dressed in red, and purple visited to entertain the residents with a traditional sing song. Words were printed out for the residents so that they could join in with all the old favourites from ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary’ to ‘How Much is That Doggy in the Window’, giving us a real trip down memory lane!

The ladies then enjoyed chatting with residents, a cup of tea and a tour of our beautiful home! Home Manager Gemma said, ‘It was lovely to have the Fen Fatales visit Holbeach Meadows, great to find out more about the Red Hat Society and to have a burst of colour and singing into the home for the afternoon, we all loved it and hope they will visit us again soon’.
