Petting Party at Holbeach Meadows Care Home

Residents at Holbeach Meadows had a lovely day with a special visit from Michelle’s Animal Petting Party.

Residents enjoyed the opportunity to pet, cuddle and groom the different animals.

Home Manager Gemma Woodcock commented, ‘When talking about what activities and entertainment the residents would like at a recent resident’s meeting, one of our ladies asked if we could have some animals in to visit.  Many of our residents have had their own pets in the past and miss that comforting and calming feeling a cuddle with an animal can bring.  Michelle’s Animal Petting Party visited us with rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, a cat and a dog, the residents absolutely loved it, the baby rabbits were a huge hit!  It was a fabulous morning, thoroughly enjoyed by us all.’

One resident commented ‘I enjoyed watching them, they were beautiful animals’ another commented ‘They were gorgeous, I love animals.’

We have a lovely day with Michelle’s Animal Petting Party, the residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We can’t wait for their next visit.
